She is married to Melvin, a seemingly dull, dependable husband, and they live in a quiet Midwestern neighborhood with their two young children. Gina is the kind of woman who blends into the background; she doubts herself, lets Melvin make most of the decisions, and believes her life is simple and safe. All of that is destroyed in an instant when a car accidentally crashes into their garage and reveals a horrifying secret: Melvin has been using the garage as a torture and murder chamber. The police find a dead woman’s body and evidence of multiple killings. Gina’s world collapses as her husband is arrested and exposed as a sadistic serial killer.
