Book Description
New York Times bestselling author and artist James Dean brings Pete the Cat fans some fun in the sun!
Pete the Cat is one groovy cat at finding shells and building sand castles at the beach. But when it gets too hot, there’s only one way to cool off—jump into the ocean! Except Pete might be a scaredy-cat when it comes to the water.
Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach is a My First I Can Read book, which means it’s perfect for shared reading with a child.
Will Pete let his fear win, or will he find the courage to ride the waves with his brother?
Overcoming Fear: Pete might be a groovy cat on the sand, but he’s a total scaredy-cat when it comes to the big, cool waves!
Family Fun: Join Pete, his mom, and his brother Bob for a day of building sandcastles, finding seashells, and learning together.
Learning to Surf: With a little help from his cool big brother, Pete discovers that falling down is okay—and that riding a wave is awesome!
Social Emotional Learning: A gentle and reassuring story that teaches kids it’s okay to be afraid of new things, but even more fun to be brave.
