Early in life, Richard set off on an extensive worldwide spiritual quest which lasted many years and took him from the Himalayas to the Pacific, the Americas and the Arctic. During this life-changing mystical journey, he also studied with the great teachers in the East and earned a Master’s Degree in metaphysics and literature from Edinburgh University.

All of Richard’s studies became synthesised in 2002 when he began to write 'The Gene Keys'. Combining Western astrology, the I Ching and the concept of genetic archetypes, these transformative teachings open a path for profound inner transformation, unlocking the potential for the miraculous possibilities which are encoded within our genetic makeup.
